I'm guessing he didn't go to any of the usual prospect camps because he knew exactly where he was going.

He was a huge grade risk. Lot of the recruiting services won't rank someone who is a grade risk very highly, since they know their likely juco bound, which typically means they fade into an abyss. They want their high ranked kids to have production and say see, we called that.

And to the point above, I did read he wasn't active on camp circuit as well, which hurts exposure.
