Man, not going to lie… don’t know how I feel about this. I was hoping the decision for him to not stay had to do with him not wanting to do it anymore. Seems like that is not the case

It's possible to respect, and appreciate, what he's done but also realize that it was time for a fresh start.

If he still wants to work he will easily find work.

Theres no way to be happy seeing that.

The man did a great deal for LSU. Was it time to move on in a natural evolution kind of way? yes......but, he leaves for the next chapter knowing he left a fantastic mark on LSU athletics.

Definitely should’ve kept TM for at least the first year.

He’s been an integral part of this program for a long time; it would provide some continuity and ease the transition.

What if Kelly thinks the culture needs to be overhauled and therefore doesn’t value continuity the way you do in this case?

You've had some of the absolute worst views over the past few weeks. Here's yet another.

That’s not what this program needs right now. Time to clean the slate and change the culture.

LSU is paying over $100m for a fresh start.

Miles was expected to extend the Saban culture. O was expected to improve recruiting and roster management, but not really change the NFLSU culture. Things are expected to change with Kelly

The ND S&C coach is just the person to set the tone. Kelly knows him and I assume trusts him. This position sets the tone day to day for the next 8 months and beyond.

Yep. Same with Les. Watching guys you’ve been comfortable with and appreciate is tough, but sometimes necessary.

There’s just something about doing it at the school you love. I’m sure Orgeron’s best professional feeling was getting the acceptance at LSU. He lost sight of how lucky he was.

ETA: ok maybe one of the top two moments for Coach O..

He put in work for LSU and will be remembered but it’s time for a change.
