If you already had Covid do you need the vaccine?

And why? A vaccine is generally dead or low dose of a virus to build an immunity to it. Wouldn’t you already have that after the virus?

Yes, everyone has to take the sterili... vaccine. Think of grandma!

That's what I want to know. Had it Thanksgiving into early December... No reason for me to walk around with masks or take a vaccine at this point.

Not enough data on how long the antibodies last. See Saban for example.

Hell yeah brother
If Bill Gates thinks he’s putting his queer vaccine inside of me, he’s got another thing coming

because we only have a year worth of antibody longitude, the experts are saying 'yes'. It's precautionary.
Considering you keep flu and most other viral antibodies for a lifetime, I'm thinking they're being very conservative.

Heard today on the news that the vaccine stops you from getting seriously ill, but you still may be able to catch the virus and spread it.
Holy shite. If you can’t laugh at it all by now.

You do not need a vaccine if you’ve already had covid but if you test for antibodies and none show then it might be a good idea to get vaccinated

Same here. Still wear a mask to follow rules and make others comfortable.

From actual science ... this is patently false propaganda:

There are hundreds of other articles and research on how the human immune system works.

90 days from symptom start date is your window, get the vaccine after that

Why would we believe the vaccine would last longer?

At our hospital they will test you for antibodies. If you have antibodies then you don’t need it (see large English NIH study on their infected healthcare workers where those who were AB positive were asymptomatic despite reinfection). However, we retest in 30 days to see if antibodies have subsided. Right now the prevailing thought is antibodies usually last for 3 to 6 months. Some people can positive for up to 9 months, however.

Saban had a false positive the first time... book it.

This vaccine doesnt work that way.

I am hearing now potentially up to 6 months and maybe more.
the repeat cases world wide are infinitesimal.
This is more fear porn being perpetuated.

Yeah, I'm in your camp but see their point because there are still some outliers when it comes to antibody production and response. Allergy and autoimmune antibody responses don't always follow standard patterns due to respective exposure, sensitization and other triggers. This virus appears to have an odd immunologic / genetic profile, so they're being cautious.
