If Eric Adam is forced out as NYC mayor, a literal Communist is next in line

Jumaane Williams would take over. He refers to himself in his own words as a “Democrat Socialist” and has been active in several literal Communist orgs.
You really can’t make these things up.

This country needs some self proclaimed communists, real communists in positions of leadership in this country. Positions such as mayors of major cities and governors. When that happens, everyone will see with their own eyes how badly they can frick up a society.
None of this soft socialism bullshite but real communists principles put in practice.

Democratic socialists are not communists. In fact, they are universally opposed to communism.
I've read a little about Williams and he's definitely not a communist, and has never been active in any "literal communist orgs" -- that's the part you made up.
Democratic socialists in the US want the US to be run along the lines of successful democratic socialist type nations such as Denmark, Sweden, Finland, etc., i.e. private enterprise / capitalism that isn't run solely for the benefit of the wealthy few. That's all.

i would lean more towards saying, what happens there is a perception to outsiders, that this is happening to the rest of the nation.
