Trinity Christian is playing Bolles tonight here in jville. Bolles has been a powerhouse for many many years but has started the year with no wins. Will be an interesting game. I know not is game of the week here on the radio. If anybody is interested. It is on 92.5/1010xl

I looked for info on his game last week but stats were a bit hard to find. Found some videos where His throws in the highlight throws looked better than the previous week. Just did another search and the Elite 11 twitter tracker shows him as 8-13 217 yards and 4 TD with 5 carries 31 yards and a rush TD.

Their season stats have him at 28/59
(47.5%) 8TD 2INT 16 carries 36 yards 1TD

62% completion percentage, 17ypa, 5 TDs is certainly an improvement from the week before.

Bolles got their first win and beat them. Have not seen stats yet. I am sure they are online.

Bolles won 26-21. No stats yet but through Twitter search I've gathered Hurley threw 2 interceptions and lost a fumble on a strip sack.

I’m afraid Hurley should’ve never reclassified and the staff shouldn’t have panicked after Sayin committed to bama and took his commitment.

Don’t think he’s SEC material at all

This will be irrelevant if we land Bryce Underwood. Colin will either get to campus and improve and acclimate behind Garrett and hopefully be ready to take the reins, or he will be supplanted immediately by Bryce and I would assume transfer. If we don’t land Bryce and Hurley isn’t who we thought he was, we’ll be portal shopping most likely after Nuss leaves.

Eh he still has 2 years before he will ever see any meaningful snaps in college, a lot can happen before then.

He’s limited physically at the moment

He’s 16 so hopefully he can grow

But then again he’s 16 and already a thick kid. How much more weight is he naturally going to add?

He’s not very mobile

But has a rocket for an arm

It’s hard to see the upside here, IMO

Hoping Ricky Collins takes the next step and surprises some folks over the next couple of years. We never know how these kids will handle being the guy when it's time.

Just don’t feel like LSU needs to take chances on qb’s. We should be in the mix for the top qbs every season except the odd one. I don’t have any problem with the salt add going after some they see early. Hurley is a great kid and great athlete. The reclassification may not have been the right play here.

Well, I think we all thought he was a top 5 QB even after the reclassification. Maybe, but probably not...

He has time to develop if he's patient. That being said LSU needs to continue to recruit top QBs. Nature of the game.

He was thought to be one of the best qbs in his class before he reclassified. He doesn’t stop being a good prospect just because he will be in college a year earlier. He definitely needs development but I wouldn’t count him out just yet.

Agree completely. Hard to understand where this upside narrative keeps coming from. The kid is very close to maxed physically. Arm talent isn't upside. It either is or isn't there. You can't develop it. You develop footwork, throwing motion, release, mental ques, physical growth etc. He's already being privately coached on those things and still is what he is. This kid doesn't know what he's gotten himself into with us.

I'm not a hater of Colin myself. I'm a hater of the process by which we ended up with him. It was a precursor of things to come with this class. "Depth class" was more true than we could've imagined.

Don’t think Collins is the answer. His limited action was not impressive. I know he is freshman but I didn’t see it.

This won't happen. Collins is not an SEC QB.
