Playing checkers out there

-3rd and long defense is straight trash.

-Neutering Perkins by making him a spy

- Not helping Chestnut in the defensive backfield

- had no gameplan for #14

Utter defeat!
Not a top ten team, not a heisman choice, maybe at best a top twenty five team.
Coach Kelly and staff has a lot to repair going forward especially in game planning and half time adjustments. I’m wishing the best for our players and team. This was embarrassment to the maximum and hopefully will not be repeated anytime soon.
Coach probably feels secure but this is LSU and we fire coaches that do not perform their jobs as expected. You are on notice Coach Kelly.

We were timid and FSU was intense. I thought Nuss may have been able to give us a spark because we looked flat to say the least.

I don’t see any of our starters playing for FSU. We have a serious lack of talent on defense. They can’t cover, tackle or stop the run.

I'm rooting against Baylor this year in the slim hope of they have to let Aranda get back on the market and maybe end up back in BR. House can go back to the NFL and work whatever magic there

Agree. The root is that we have no pass rushers. Makes the Perkins strategy so mind-blowingly bad. Have never been a fan of the drop 8 zone. Too easy to find gaps and no pressure to force the qb off schedule. Rather get beat pressuring and on an island than easy pitch and catch we have no chance at stopping. Kill me fast not slow and painful.

The OC is a bigger liability than the DC. By a lot.

House has been complete shite since dating back to the last half of last season. It's not depth an issue as excuse now. It's just he's not that good of a coach and his scheme has been figured out.

Not gonna generate one with a 3 man rush. Just watch some of those 3rd and longs calls. Dude rushing 3 with Perkins as a spy with everyone in zone. Dude had so much time, he would just scramble around and find the open guy if he wasn't open from the get-go.

Last year our D kept us in games while the offense struggled. He generally makes the adjustments like in the 2nd quarter when we were looking like we were going to take over. The issue is the offense has to go out and produce to give them a break. Some of the plays they made were just one on one wins. Burns played Coleman perfectly and he just was able to hang on.

If we don't have all the drops and get more explosive our players can get excited to go out there with the energy needed. Instead they're watching us turn it over, drop passes, and punt quickly.

The truth is we don't have the guys athletic enough on the back end plus we are not deep enough yet on defense to play championship caliber football

Completely agreed. Last year Perkins was going to be at the top of the draft boards. He's in his 2nd year and "learning" to play inside LB. You take a talent like that and kill his draft position you're going to lose out on future studs.
