We just hired a new coach 2 weeks before signing day. What did you think was gonna happen? Coaches have been building relationships with these players for a couple of years. You thought he was just gonna walk in a out recruit coaches like Saban, Jimbo and Kirby in 2 weeks? Come on my guy!

When Saban left LSU for the Dolphins LLes signed 13 recruits that year. He had months to build relationships and still only signed 13 recruits. CBKs job is to not mess any recruits up right now.

I just want to hold onto guys like tolan and rhym.

Exactly! No sense to shake the tree this close to signing day. Get the players the current staff has worked so hard to get and then make changes down the road.

I'm not really worried about this class. Hold on to the ones we got and maybe we can bring back Matthews and get Perkins. The real goal is to hit the transfer portal hard. A lot of great names out there.

That wouldn't solidify anything and getting his staffing hires correct is more important than any lost recruit.

Getting staff together is going to have minimum if any impact on early signing day. It's better to get the right hires right than not get them right and rush for a recruiting class that can instantly be replaced in the transfer portal. A lot of elite players in it right now already.

Exactly. I’d rather make the right hires, than to scramble and make a stupid hire. Make a bad hire… you’re back in the same boat you are now but probably worse due to instability.

The hell it will. There’s a lot of recruits, committed and not, that are on standby waiting to see who their coaches would be before committing or remaining committed.

I am pretty sure that was because we already had 72 underclassmen. It was an odd year.
We signed perriloux too.

3 steps back off the ledge man...
We've bad "top classes" recently and it got us 6 wins. Stop worry about effin rankings in recruiting
