3 weeks, easily.
I had European Hornets two summers in a row. The first summer I was scared shitless of them and didnt know where the nest was until it finally fell out of a hollowed out cedar. The next summer they moved to the bottom of a walnut tree. I sprayed 3 cans of hornet spray on them and they just laughed.
I mowed all around that tree all summer and they'd crawl out watch me but that was it. Not agrrssive at all. I still wouldn't want to be stung by one.

I don’t mean for this to sound racist. But if ever there was a badass insect from Japan I’d expect it to look EXACTLY like that. Feel like it’s straight out of a Godzilla movie.
