Do kids still ride go karts?

I used to love to go to stay with my cousins who had a go kart and rode that all over the neighborhood. Do kids still ride them because I don’t really see them compared to back in the day.

I had a Thunder Cart as a kid. Some great memories cruising our neighborhood and cane fields with that thing

I can already hear all the neighborhood boomers whining and calling the cops if my son had one. I just bring him to K1 a lot.

No. They graduated to golf carts in my neighborhood.

Get with the times, pops.

Go karts made a man out of you. Nothing like riding with someone who takes sharp corners, you fall out and get ran over with the back tire

We lived in the country and my dad bushogged the neighbor’s property who had a scrap yard full of junk so the guy told him he could use whatever he wanted to build us a gocart.
He built us a 2 seater and we rode it for years. Back then in Stonewall we could ride it up and down Burford Road all we wanted.
I wish kids these days could enjoy a childhood like that.

I live off Government, so they've graduated to Chargers in mine.

Had a single seater. As it got older we had to jerry rig it.
Had to put the back in a cinder block to crank it cause as soon was it kicked over it took off. Had a bare wire to touch to the top of the spark plug to kill the engine.
Still at my parents but it’s in a pile of crap my dad hordes
Now it’s atv’s or side x sides

I bought a used riding mower from this country guy last year, and his probably 12-13 yo son came hauling arse around the corner on a go-kart. Probably going 55 at one point. They’d built it themselves.
So much of the shite I thought had gone extinct still exists in the country.

We still have a go kart in the neighborhood but it’s mostly golf carts

I had one similar to OPs at my grandparents farm. Great memories on that thing ages 8ish-12ish, whenever I got too tall. It took once accident before my uncle welded a roll cage over the top of it. What I wouldn’t do to have land for that and a dirk bike again.

Not this Boomer. Grew up with gocarts and minibikes.

Now your tugging on the memories. Suzuki RM125 when I was 13. Damn, those were so much fun.

Kids don’t do anything other than eat candy and stare at a iPhone.

Back in my day we just rode… your mom.

I see them for sale. Most people just go with a golf cart though and the kids mess with that. We have two 4 wheelers at the farm but have a golf cart at home.
