Chiropractor using CPK treatment

Have any of you ever been to a chiropractor that uses this? I have three bulging discs in my neck. Was actually in the hospital last week due to severe pain. I’m waiting to see a neurologist but in the meantime a friend who is an MLS assistant coach told me about toss chiropractor to try. Went today for first treatment and it was odd. Going back Thursday. Just curious if any of you have done this?

Had some dry needling done by a chiropractor for bulging disks T6-T7 last fall. Weird procedure and I was skeptical but after two sessions it eliminated the pain.

What happened?
Did he stick his fist in your butt hole?

The Chiropractic principle
…proclaims that the nerve system of the body, functioning as the master communication system of the body, can become impaired so that the brain or body parts are no longer communicating essential information for the maintenance of health. The removal of the impairment factor can greatly enhance the functional integrity of the body and restore health and well-being.
CPK is “gentle” Chiropractic
…and promotes applying soft, sustained pressure for correcting any tissue structure for safe, gentle corrections compatible with the hydrodynamics of the internal environment of the body.
CPK is a comprehensive health care system
…constantly integrating new procedures from the world’s greatest Chiropractic technology with time-proven methods for resolving today’s complex health issues.
Sounds like a load of bullshite. I'd wait for the real doctor to give a diagnosis and treatment.

I can believe that, but I’m not relying on someone that cracks backs for a living for something that serious.

Sometimes chiropractic care can relieve pain. Sometimes it cannot. But they either have a very different definition of “comprehensive” than I have, or they’re buzzwording bullshite.

My chiropractor uses it but spends most of my appointment time playing seek and destroy with trigger points.

Like I said I was very sceptical and still am, but I was definitely feeling different after the treatment today. Will see how it goes Thursday.

Chiropractors cured my club foot when I was a kid

A chiropractor once healed me of the same AIDS he diagnosed me with.

Why are you going to a Dr. Crackabone?

Let me translate this:
“I had mid thoracic pain due to muscle spasms/trigger points. Some idiot ordered an MRI which showed bulging disks, which are seen on at least 50% of people over 40 years old with no pain (an incidental finding not related to my pain). Chiropractor treated the myofacial pain with modalities and it helped.”

So they give you a massage and it feels better? Every time I pull a muscle in my back, it feels better after a week or two with no intervention. So these guys do a treatment or two weekly, you recover on your own, and they take credit for the recovery?

I would honestly skip the neurologist visit and book a visit with a PM&R doctor who works in a group practice with neurosurgeons.

Went to a chiropractor 15+ years ago after issues being unable to raise my right arm all of the way. MD wanted to operate which I preferred not to do.
Well there several flattened discs in my upper neck pinching that nerve. The chiropractor adjusted my back and 3 times a week had electric impulse massage with hot packs and manual massage for two weeks. Never had a problem since then and NO CUTTING.

Fair enough, but you have to recognize that the other side was a group of professionals that help make the opioid epidemic explode in this country.
