Mark Wahlberg is sharing an important message of faith on Ash Wednesday.
"[Faith] it’s everything, it’s afforded me so many things… God didn’t come to save the saints, He came to save the sinners… We want to be better versions of ourselves, and through focusing my faith, it’s allowed me to do that," Wahlberg told Savannah Guthrie.
"It's a balance. I don't wanna jam it down anybody's throat, but I do not deny my faith. That's an even bigger sin," he explained. "You know, it's not popular in my industry, but, you know, I cannot deny my faith. It's important for me to share that with people."
Although faith is important to the "Uncharted" actor, he noted he doesn’t force it on his children.
"Before I was like, ‘all right, everybody's got to be in Catholic school. We got to go to Mass every Sunday.’ But that can also create some resentment. I want them to gravitate toward it in a very natural way," he confessed.
"I want them to understand that dad has to start his day by getting on his hands and his knees. And no matter where I am, the priority on Sunday is to go to church."

Seems like a good man, but he needs to remember that it's his job to rear his kids to be good Catholics.

He is a man of God. We need more like him.

For a Hollywood actor, he seems like a pretty good guy.

Of course his ashes would look good. Nice and symmetrical.
Meanwhile mine look like a baboon cleaned out a grill then slapped me in the face.

Are you raising kids in America in 2023?
Let me tell you brother, it’s more difficult than you probably realize, and ultimately, once they are in their late teens early twenties, the role of the parents in their faith is reduced to simply being the best role model you can.
MOST Catholic kids, even those of devout parents, are leaving the Church in 2023.
The secular world is on the rise and Satan has created a cultural smog that blinds the masses from seeing clearly. This is not the first nor the last of such battles, but it’s helpful to recognize where we are in the pendulum of time.
Now is the time to read from the Book of Daniel.

It's always the current year.
Don't worry what other people are doing. Do what your parish instructs you to do.
Go to church. Bring your kids. Live your lives. That's all there is to it.

I respect anyone who doesn't hide who they are. The easy thing for him to do is not mention it, but instead he is saying "This is me, these are the things that make me who I am. I am not judging anyone who have different values, but you don't have to turn hollywood to be in hollywood"

He has a clothing brand, Municipal. Nice clothes and good to support the good ones in Hollywood.

I think you missed the point he was trying to make. He is leading them to be good Catholics by way of him showing them how to live through faith each and everyday. If he forces the faith upon them, there is a good chance they will resent it and stray away.

Why are we on here promoting a convicted felon who violently and permanently disabled someone?

You said this:
And now you said this:
My point is that it’s not so simple, and just taking your kids to church isn’t enough make sure they are good Catholics.
Bruh, why so obstinate? The obvious rhetorical device I was using was to indicate that raising kids to be Catholic in today’s world is more difficult than it was in earlier decades.

It's Canon Law to rear your children to be Catholic.
That's the job of the parents. If you're a "good" Catholic. That's what you're supposed to do.
Note: I don't care what other people do. That's what the Church instructs Catholics to do.
It's kind of the point of Baptism and Catechism.

I’m no longer a Catholic, but I can certainly get behind making a stand for Christ today, and especially in and amongst those people in Hollywood. Well done.
