OT docs: Girlfriend busted her knee skiing

I think she sprained her MCL. Felt a pop, pain is on the inside of the knee.
We’re at urgent care and they want to do X-rays. Is that a waste of money?

Can you see inside her knee to tell if anything is broken or detached? Do you think the doctor can? Because that's what an X-Ray does.

I’m no rocket surgeon, but I bet when you report “felt a pop” and “pain on inside of knee,” even the orthopedics for dummies book says get an X-ray or something similar.

I have good news and bad news. Good news is she can probably still have sex. Bad news is that it may not necessarily be with you after she sees the orthopedic.
