It might be the best BBQ, but I can get damn good BBQ a few miles from my house and not have to wait in a 5 hour line

Depends on the place that is making it, corkscrew in Spring will have a massive line each day that they are cooking.

My dad's buddy invites him out whenever he take his boat out. My dad is just a body count on the boat. You're allowed 150 lbs per person on the boat. The more people, the bigger the crawfish haul. Of course he gets free crawfish to take home.

It obviously happens at Franklins. Others I know of are Snows and Goldies. I am not sure about the Lockhart places on weekdays, but on the weekends Kruetz and Terry Blacks have a line until they basically run out.

A nice weekend and just about any place on the Texas Monthly top 50 will be a wait and they will likely run out before 1-2pm.

If you want the best BBQ in TX you do. I have at Snow's before, and I'm not a hipster, nor are most of the people that wait outside Franklins. It's in the middle of Aggieland even has aTm painted on the pits. I like to wear my LSU stuff, just so they know.

Pele wait at Franklin's and there is some hot place outside of Fort Worth people line up for. Owned by a group of bbq hippies.

Goldie's? He took over the #1 spot last year. He cooks pretty good, I just think they get tired of giving the award to Snow's, and Franklins every year. Dude has a Falcon's SB winner on his thigh, had it done at halftime when they were beating the Patriots, lol, whoops!!

I have just never found BBQ worth waiting for that long. It isn’t that hard to cook and find people are more snobs about “good BBQ”.

Tootsie only cooks on Saturday. If you want some of her bbq, then you have to make some sacrifices.

Goldee's. It's owned by a group of people who used to work in other bbq restaurants.

The issue with Franklin's is the wait is much shorter maybe 45mins or an hour after they open and the initial line is fed but they may not have what you want.

You can order ahead and skip the line at every one of these.
