I'm almost 50. Never knew I had anxiety. Got on celexa about a year and a half ago.... life changing. Definitely real.

I have plenty of male clients with anxiety.

And it is very real.

Since severe anxiety is a mental illness, shouldn’t it be “in your head”?

Had my first panic attack during a grad school class. I’ve had 1-2 a year since then, especially hungover. Don’t wish them on my worst enemy.

From smoking too much weed when I first got into years ago, but that’s the only panic attack I’ve ever had.

It is very real. And it can be debilitating.

I know more men with anxiety issues than women, it took the men a lot longer to accept it, though

I’m 45. Both my family practitioner and cardiologist said it’s created. Is it real, yes. I’m on Zoloft to help mine. You aren’t born with anxiety. Through life’s phases, stress and home life, it is manufactured.

I can believe this. Maybe that’s all it is. Men don’t like to think that there could be something mentally wrong with them, but women are more open to getting help I guess.

I'm back up to around 2 panic attacks a month. Let me tell you those are not fun.
