What does this promotion even mean, though? How much closer can you work with the QB than being the offensive coordinator and calling the plays?

This. He is incredibly bad and has decent players to work with. I think I saw somewhere the other day that the Steelers are only team in nfl without a first down in the first quarter. So let’s promote the guy running the offense??

The Steelers haven’t even had a 400+ yard offensive performance since he took over as OC in 2021.
Every other team in the league has done it at least 3 times.
There is a points scored statistic that is pretty awful too but I forget it. Truly amazing the a-hole still has a job.

This dude has to be one of the most head scratching coaches in recent years.
He sucks every season at every job he has, yet he keeps failing upwards. There’s like half a dozen fan bases that hate him now, and I cannot imagine many players feel any better. What am I missing?
