I don't know. They lost to an a&m team that was doubled up by Arkansas and they nearly lost to Florida without its more talented QB. Either they don't come to play much or they just are very beatable. I do believe LSU's total overhaul of their defensive philosophy with the blitzing shocked them and they were not prepared for it.

Believe it or not some of the starters are in fact worse.
It is also possible they both are equally bad, but can we at least see it first?
What I can't wait for is the day we have consistent QB play and don't care about backups.

Yep. They're lucky. They got another win in the books. No one other than us Tiger fans will remember how we almost won. We didn't even try to get a spark on offense. Even if Nuss couldn't make plays...at least O would have done everything he could have possibly done to get the W. He could have held his head a little higher. You can rarely catch Bama on a down year.

I hear you and agree max played as bad as he has in any game in an LSU uniform but I didn’t think Nuss was better last I saw them both play. It is possible he has improved and possible he compiled a couple of the overthrown balls Saturday for a TD. Sounds like we get to reevaluate.

Im afraid we will always worry about backups, because if they are good enough to start, but don't, they'll just jump into the transfer portal
