Jay Ward with the hit of the year

When the QB decides to play like a TB he will get cracked.
It was reviewed and it was obviously a clean hit. Ward a small man by football standards led with his shoulder and delivered a maximum blow to stop a runner. Very well done in my opinion.

Fans of other schools were saying the same thing. So many people think that helmet to helmet means targeting. Ward led with the shoulder and made contact with the side of this helmet to Young's helmet. It wasn't even close to targeting.

It's almost better this way because Bama had a struggle win and they are losing their minds trying to rationalize how it happened.

Bamas perception after this is sadly bruised. LSU won everything but the scoreboard last night.

I can't see it.......

Hopefully someone was able to explain to Saban what targeting is after the game.

Ward is my boy.

Agree. I didn’t think it was targeting but I thought they would somehow call it anyway.

But yeah.. if you’re going to dive forward instead of sliding, you’re gonna open yourself up to some hits. If he wasn’t a QB people wouldn’t have been nearly as riled up about that hit. He’s a tough kid though, I’ll give him that.
