Everyone needs to calm down

I know that everyone is fired up after that shite performance last night and worried about the future of the football program. Cool your tits. Everyone needs to keep a few things in perspective.
1. We’ve been down this road before. If any fan base knows how to weather this storm, it’s LSU. From Nick Saban leaving to Jimbo being hired to not hired after Miles miraculously keeps his job to then being fired after the Auburn game (heh), we have been there done that and got the t-shirt.
2. LSU is one of the premier jobs in college football. We are the only school in the SEC to have won a natty with our two last head coaches (both of who may be borderline r-worded).
3. Alleva is gone. This scenario currently unfolding is exactly why Scott Woodward was hired. With Scott Woodward, you aren’t limited to hiring some up and comer at a mid major that is the new hotness. Woodward has shown that he has the cajones to go out and get his guy. He got Peterson to leave Boise and go to UW which resulted in their only CFB playoff appearance. Since he’s been at LSU, he’s made a seemingly impossible hire for women’s basketball with Kim Mulkey and a surprise but potentially great hire with Jay Johnson for baseball. I trust the guy. Plus, he is an alum and loves LSU.
Anyways, this is just my take but I for one am not worried. Weather the storm and trust it’s gonna be alright. Geaux Tigers!

You can’t stop the melt, you can only embrace it.

Hahaha! I figured I would get this reaction from some of the knuckle dragging crowd. Might as well just sit back and embrace the suck for the rest of this season. It’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets a whole lot better. Geaux Tigers!

I was a sudent when LSU fired Jerry Stovall and hired Arnsparger. In fact I saw him at a stop light on Burbank in his car an hour later by chance. It was sad. He just gave me a pained smile.
We fired an absolute LSU legend because he had one bad year after coming off a fantastic 1982 season. It was the right move.
We waited too long to fire both Archer and Hallman and paid for it each time with talent deficits. We need to move fast if we want to keep the program stacked with talent.

I don’t disagree. I’m just saying that it could be a lot worse. Imagine this same situation but instead with Alleva at the helm.

Where is the talent . Offense maybe defense . What happened last night is simple. Mason made d adjustments . Took away what we did 1st half

For the Harsin's of the world, maybe. But it's becoming even less desirable for B-coaches like Harsin.
First, who wants to face Saban every year? When Saban retires, maybe that changes but Saban looks like he could easily coach 10 more years.
Also, who wants to come to a woke school in Baton Rouge where we don't even carry the American flag out anymore for fear of pissing kids off?
We can't even fill up our stadium because of covid hysteria.

Might as well just sit back and embrace the suck
This team isn’t only bad, they are boring

Ed is done it’s just a matter of when. If we cut him loose now it would be because you want recruits to see we’re making a change and hopefully head off some transfers of quality players. If Woodward senses that happening he’ll pick an interim and can him. That’s my understanding fwiw.

We have less talent than we did in 2016 IMO now. I know it ebbs and flows some but I see danger coming.
Mason absolutely shut us down in the second half. Auburn has better coaches than we do and they are far from an elite program. Think about that!

This is exactly what we've been saying, and yet you're telling US to calm down. No one should be calm during that scenario.

Yes, except Woodward is the fricking idiot who gave 0 over $8 million a year. Someone please tell me the logic there!
Like someone was going to scoop him up from us. The whole 0 "formula" was that he would take less to hire the best staff. Why would you come in and instantly break that? Infrickingsanity!
