He's at the White House because he is the coach of a team being honored by the NATION'S President. He is thus, in this capacity REPRESENTING LSU, not himself or his own personal political views. The entire TEAM is being honored and every member of that TEAM is there representing the TEAM, not their own selves. It takes teamwork to win a championship. Act as a TEAM and be a member of the TEAM, or fail.

Blame the political climate of the last decade or so.
One side get what they want, do what they want while in office and forgetting the other side, then the other side bands together to elect someone the complete opposite and then the cycle starts again
It went Clinton so the right went to Bush, left went further left with Obama so the right went further right of Bush to Trump. So congrats on Bernie with AOC as VP

Pretty sure the story by Ross Delenger a few weeks ago sites that Coach O is a registered independent.
Besides, I can totally see a guy who comes from Coach O’s background and literally worked his way up from dirt siding with the Bernie Sanders of the world.
