Time to reverse the purple pants fiasco

Those jerseys are 2 different makes it appears..sigh.

i was at that game. the purple pants were not good; however, i will go to my grave trying to explain to people it was the wrong tint/color/hue of purple. It was also, as i recall, a very shiny fabric which was probably a sign of the times but not too good of a look (especially for purple).

if they wore a darker purple, white shirts, and yellow helmets, it would look nice and be a decent option for one game every few years.

one of my favorite saints combos is black pants, white shirts, gold helmets. i think the darker purple pants, white jerseys, yellow helmets would have a similar vibe.

they just didn't do it right last time and it got a very bad rap.

side note trivia about that game: tigerband showed up at halftime due to airplane mechanical issues out of new orleans.

If they could match the color, I wouldn’t mind seeing purple helmet, white top, purple plants like Minnesota Vikings road jerseys. As an alternate.

Good riddance to that uniform combo. I am not saying that a great purple pants uniform could not be designed, but that one was the worst of all time.

I saw this posted the other day and was wondering if we'd ever see the purple pants again. I think a gold/white/purple combo could be done but the 90s era metallic starter brand pants in this photo looked like shite. Essentially this but with the proper striping

I remember Dinardo being targeted for the decision to wear that uniform. Jim Hawthorne and the people who called in on the Wednesday show weren't pleased. And apparently the purple parts idea was Dinardo's own

Ditto on Gerkin’s thoughts. The previous purple pants were dead on arrival. I’d like to see another stab on the purple pants...maybe with one yellow and white stripe extending down but fading out before it reaches the knee. Then, for good measure, wear them with those magic purple helmets we had last year that would give off hues of old gold.
