LSU vs. Notre Dame in the ReliaQuest (Outback) Bowl seems very likely

It's looking like a trip to Tampa on New Years Day is very likely. Almost every bowl projection has this bowl and matchup. It would be too hard for them to pass up on the storyline of Kelly vs. his old team, plus it's a sexy matchup. And even an extra incentive; The Saints play the Bucs in Tampa the day before.

I realize we have played ND recently in bowl games, but this is the matchup I want if we don’t get a NY6.

I want to shove it to all those ND fans that have screamed from the rooftops since Kelly left them. This would be a big win for Kelly, and a big win for the program. However a loss to ND would be a disaster.

I hope we play someone ranked ahead of us so we can get a late season climb in the rankings, finishing top 12 or better.

I would love to win a head to head with nd with the coaching swap…

But frick….. if we lose, it’s a bbbbad. Baaaadd look. ESPN and all media will be up our arse hammering recruiting and saying Lsu made a mistake and over paid, probably some racist talk too I don’t want to deal with this yet maybe in a few years when Lsu is more established and recruiting set

Miami vs Lsu would be a more interesting match up. Feels like Lsu always plays ND in bowl games.

I would like to be matched up with ND just because it will feel more meaningful than an Iowa or Miami

Hard pass. Give us Clemson instead.

Lmao what?? Clemson is god awful this year. We would truck them by 4 touchdowns. Clemson isn’t sniffing a New Years Day bowl this season

That’s not a bad thing. Plenty of eyeballs watch ND.

The media would love a BK/ND battle.
And I think it would be a good game.

That sounds great, but you have to consider the slim likelihood of JD, Nabers, and BTJ playing in this game.

If they play ND in a bowl game without those three, LSU will get blown out. 40 something to 20 something.

Facts! Its playoffs/NY6 or bust... fans better enjoy these last 2 games with those 3 because this is it.

What if Hartman and Audric Estame also sit out?

I'd take our backup QB vs theirs any day of the week.
