With losses to teams like Navy, Tulsa, and South Florida.

From year 3 on he won 80% of his games there.

Relax.

Breath of fresh air to see a level headed post like this. Not to mention the shite show Kelly inherited. I’ll always appreciate Ed O but he was ruining this football program, and nearly killed us.

With all we lose, I just don't see how year 3 is going to be the take flight season.

Half of the posters startling threads right now are trolls from other teams pretending to be LSU fans

The other half are chicken littles who think every game is program defining.

Go look at the first two years of many currently successful coaches and you may realize people are being particularly hard on BK. That doesn’t mean he will be extremely successful, but he does deserve the benefit of the doubt on more time

NIL and the new transfer rules changed the playing field since then. Also, 75% of NDs game were against crap teams. The talking point was that Kelly couldn't get the talent to ND b/c of admission standards and that he would get the talent to LSU. Where is the talent?

#7 class will be rising juniors
#5 class will be rising sophomores

Will have to dip into the portal again at a few key positions and retool the defensive staff.

And how many national championships did he win after that? What about wins against top 10 teams? Or are you just saying that he started beating team like Navy, Tulsa, and South Florida after his first two years?

Does that mean you can name a win of substance?

Relax

I get that, but 700+ yard to Ole Miss and acting like there are no coaching issues on the D?? Come on. We're not that dumb. We don't have our usual talent, but Mercer held Ole Miss to less yards.

Not saying that at all obviously. You have to deal with what you have right now and make changes at the end of the year.

Always these little qualifiers, as if 54-9 his last 5 seasons there then coming here and taking a team that finished last in the West to Atlanta year 1 somehow doesn’t count for anything

It doesn't. He beat zero teams of value at nd, and everything the bright lights are on him, he gets his doors blown off. As he said after he lost to Tulsa, get used to it.

Most of us on here (maybe all) sat here and watched Les Miles and Ed O each win a title here. I have no doubt Kelly will do the same.

ND was the zero when Kelly took over that losing program. So every win was a win of substance because they were a losing program. He had two undefeated regular seasons there after taking over a loser of a program and finished with five straight 10+ win seasons there before Freeman broke the streak last year.

You’re either not a serious person, not very smart, or both

I would say I thought Notre Dame was a good school but you’re obviously a Holy Cross sidewalker, if that.

You just described the last 35 years of your program. Including before and after Kelly was there.
