I’m just here to throw out that it’s amazing we went from this

To this

The Les era offenses were so massively frustrating. Finally producing like a modern CFB offense.

I believe Les is pointing at the hot blonde on the first row he wants to take to the apartment on Tuesday night.

To be fair, we averaged 35.7 points per game in 2011, good for 17th in the country. If you take away the Bama games, we averaged 41 points per game, which would hav been good for 8th in the country and first in the SEC.

We also only allowed 11 points per game, good for 2nd in the country.

Jordan Jefferson is #8 in career passing yards (4,733) at LSU and # 8 in career passing touchdowns (34) at LSU.

Jarrett Lee is #10 in career passing touchdowns (32) at LSU.

Of course, Jayden Daniels likely knocks Jefferson down on both and Lee off the top 10 list before he is done

I wish people would just move on and quit shitting on past players and coaches.

All the more insane that Burrow shattered those numbers in one season.

Wild, really. If he had play just a couple more full games he would have surpassed Hodson for all time passing yards in just two seasons.

If a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his arse on the rocks.

When the Tigers had decent QBs back in the day we were good. We have had recently one epic QB and one good one (JD) and have been decent with the mediocre defenses. I love great defenses and miss those days. Boy how the times change.

We averaged 35.7 points a game in 2011 thanks to our defense and special teams. Not the offense.

You are being way more than fair. That offense was just okay. The high output came because the defense smothered every team and gave the ball back to the offense four downs after a punt. They could just keep leaning on defenses, which would eventually get tired and discouraged and just quit.

If you look back on the talent on those offenses you see pedestrian QBs, great skilled players, and offensive lines primarily made up of guys who went undrafted. That 2011 line was:

Will Blackwell - Undrafted
Josh Dworaczyk - Undrafted (best I can tell)
Chris Faulk - Undrafted
Alex Hurst - Undrafted
P.J. Lonergan - Undrafted

We had La’el Collins on that team, but he was a freshman

It has prolly been said far too many times on this board but that 2010 LSU vs Tennessee game is still the most pissed I have ever been watching a game followed closely by that 2009 LSU vs Ole Miss game. Both of them representing the Les Miles era offenses perfectly.

2016 LSU vs Wisconsin is also up there.

NAME 1 defense better the last 2 years than the 5 in the West in 2011. In fact look at LSUs schedule from then. Auburn, Bama, UF, I can keep going.

Who are you scoring against?

Oregon. West Virginia. All those high flying scoring offenses. I would take the 2011 team over this team all day every day and twice on Sunday.

That 2011 team would beat the brakes off of this team. In fact, I bet they don’t score 20 points against that defense. I don’t give a two shits of what y’all think because I know what the team would’ve done with that 2011 team pounded the crap out of the ball down their throat. There is no way this team could stop that team from running the football and the defense would’ve killed this offense. honey badger would’ve had a field day against Daniels. And that defensive backfield would a crush these receivers. Go look at the NFL.

This offense would’ve been beaten like a freaking drum.

Well of course, that team had the greatest regular season in CFB history
