She said she wanted to pay for the team's "Dream Team", the male students who practice against her team, national championship rings out of her own pocket but NCAA regulations would not allow it. They usually get nothing but this year they will get shoes. They were present at all the NCAA's & stood by the tunnel, cheering "like crazies". Tell us again what the NCAA does ??

That organization needs to be ignored. Like Covid “protocols”, if the majority ignored they’d just go away like the unnecessary defunct entity the NCAA is at this point

It makes zero sense for NCAA involvement with a male practice squad of non student athletes. If anything, they should be treated as student assistants and get the perks.

Fwiw ….. just got back from the open practice … had a big crowd and lines to get in..
Team looks like the are going to be scoring a lot of points.. some pretty reliable shooters..
This team staff and players are a very likable group of people… they do a lot of things right on and off the court.

I thought this at first too then I considered that it’s likely the NCAA has bullshite rules about who you can compensate and even more likely they could sanction Kim with suspensions and/or scholarships and recruiting restrictions for violating “their rules”

Getting over 2500 people to attend a WBB practice on a Monday afternoon is insane but a testament to Mulkey

YouTube has a video of that first practice. Almost like a pep rally. Mea culpa, not sure who she is but there is one big girl on that team. Big in a basketball way.

Those guys (Dream Team) have to be cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse each semester. Seems like a waste of time. Just submit names and official standing as an LSU student and that should be enough.
