Since beating Bama last year:

-Struggle at Arky
-Cupcake win
-Bad loss to a sub .500 A&M
-Blowout loss to UGA (not a huge deal)
-win over hapless Purdue program
-Late blowout loss to FSU
-Slow start against Grambling
-Flawless performance against a bad State team
-Struggle at home against Arky

Hopefully we are about to hit that mid-season stride we found last year. BM’s performance against the most talented teams on our schedule has been suspect going back to Tenn lasts year. He beat Bama, and it was great. I believe in him, but I wish we looked more prepared.

Throw in lack of recruiting prowess and losing la kids with Frank and Hankton on staff.

Also add house D is horrendous and not getting better

And finally we now have BK pulling les miles clock mismanagement. We aren’t getting our moneys worth and it’s not close to championship level

Most of the staff can’t recruit and and don’t have the urge to recruit us what pisses me off

I can forgive this one because we are always sluggish after Bama, most of the team was dealing with the flu, it was an early start on the road and we won

Blowout loss to UGA

Bad loss but they were very good and we overachieved just to get there

win over hapless Purdue program

What’s the problem with this one? We destroyed them and it was not even close. Hell we were just fricking around with WR passes and what not because it was so easy. Just like it was supposed to be. Not sure why you have an issue here.

It’s year two of a fricking rebuild. Good God some of you have some unrealistic expectations.

Everything isn’t perfect but that’s just an asinine statement

We got our money's worth in year 1 with him taking a 6-7 team and beating Bama, winning the West and winning double digits games with a pieced-together roster.

The D needs to improve or he probably will need to make a new defensive coordinator hire at some point. But it's not like we didn't still have some depth and talent issues at some positions on D going into this season.

You really can’t believe this? They had a pretty good class last year. Down year in state this year but next year is going to be one of the best in 20 years. They have the top WR committed and the #1 player/QB. Seriously interested.

Lol. We are 13-5 under BK and people are already lineup reasons for him to be ousted.

The common denominator in all of the bad you have pointed out is the fact that our defense has let those teams score way more on us than any other defense they faced even less talented ones.

Really? Lets look at what he listed?

quote:

-Struggle at Arky
Arky scored 10 vs LSU bu scored 17 or more in every other game in 2022 and average 34 per game

quote:

-Bad loss to a sub .500 A&M

Hey, you got one right, how about that?

quote:

-Blowout loss to UGA (not a huge deal)

UGA scored 50 vs LSU but really 43 against the defense because one was a blocked kick runback. Even still they scored 55 vs Vanderbilt and 65 vs TCU.

quote:

-Late blowout loss to FSU

FSU scored 45 vs LSU then score 66 vs Southern Miss the very next week.

quote:

-Flawless performance against a bad State team

Scored 15 vs LSU. Scored 48, 31 & 30 against other opponents.

quote:

-Struggle at home against Arky

Arky scored 31 vs LSU, In 3 other games Arkansas scored 58, 28, & 31 vs other.

Question, do you just make stuff up because you want it to be true or are you just that bad at looking stuff up before you spout off?

You’re a moron. First of all I said all of the bad he pointed out and you go and include the good in the flawless game against State.

Arkansas last year is the exception but if your feeble mind can’t remember they moved the ball all over our defense the entire game. Coaching cost them 6 more points and a BS penalty ended the game where they would have likely beat our Swiss cheese defense.

Third you took everything I said as literal as possible. You think I don’t know that FSU and other teams have scored tons on cream puffs?? FSU took OT to hit 31 on Clemson and hit 31 on the mighty Boston College. The point is who did UGA score 50+ on last year besides Vanderbilt for God sakes and the worst national champion participant of all time TCU??? They could barely score against the likes of Kentucky, Mizzou, etc. Arkansas scored 56 not 58 on Western Carolina LOL. They only mustered 28 points at home against Kent State and 31 at home against BYU. You think Kent State and BYU have more talent???

Let’s throw in there UF from last year. They only hit 35+ on 3 opponents minus Eastern Washington. We were one of those 3.

A&M hit 14 on App State and 20 on Umass the week before our game last year. They scored the most points they had scored all year on us with 38 points. Their next highest was 28 VS the mighty Ole Miss defense.

Do you and Matt House date??

As to actual coaches, losing our DL coach to an unexpected health issue this year was difficult. I am concerned as to the recruiting ability of some coaches & wonder why BK didn't go after a straight up, full time, talented special teams coach. Another problem I see with Coach BK is not giving more PT to the best players at this time. Case in point, right now JJ is at a much higher playing level than Smith on DL. The RB room is deep, but Diggs needs more carries!

Well, you made a moronic statement so I was playing to the audience.

quote:

You were very specific about what you said,
quote:

that our defense has let those teams score way more on us than any other defense they faced even less talented ones.

If that isn't what you mean you should say so. But as it was, Arkansas had 249 total yards in the game, which is not an offense outburst by any stretch.

quote:

Third you took everything I said as literal as possible. You think I don’t know that FSU and other teams have scored tons on cream puffs??

I'm fairly certain you were being intentionally obtuse but did not discount the possibility that you were just spouting off without regard to any facts.

You should be less literal if you don't want to be taken literally.

quote:

OK

quote:

The only team you were right about, congrats I guess?

Are you looking for a date or something? Sorry dude, I'm straight, maybe you could call House if he is the one you're interested in. :house:

Modern college football punishes teams that whiff in the transfer portal. Early indications are that Kelly and staff may have done so with this group. Speights, Zy Alexander, Denver Harris, Aaron Anderson, Chestnut, and Oghoufo have not impressed so far. Jordan Jefferson looked good last night and Swinson has made a few plays.

Losing Brooks and JK Johnson makes the defensive portal misses (so far) major problems.
