Remember when mfers didn't know how to pitch crews in 3 hole with runners on or they would walk him then White followed in the 4 hole? Pick your poison kinda thing. Teams were forced to pitch to those guys when they had no where to put them on base? Dugas and morgan are getting on base, the time is now to switch the line up back.

Dugas
Morgan
Crews
White
Beloso
Jobert
Thompson
Pearson
Milazzo(travs hurt)

Please please please. This order was magical!

If Milazzo plays he shouldn’t bat last. He is a poor hitter plus he clogs up the bases if he does happen to get on. I like Pearson there. I also like Crews 1st bc I want to give him the most ABs possible.

Milazzo led the team in hits last night. The biggest game of the season.

Either Pearson or JT need to get going. 2 for 30 between them so far.

Dude come on. If Milazzo was a good hitter he would’ve been playing. The Tenn game is more indicative of how he normally hits.

Yes I watched the game and I still think he is the worst hitter that LSU put out there last night and by quite a bit.

He's hitting .292 on the season and Pearson is sitting at .234 but you think he's the worst hitter that LSU put out there last night by quite a bit?

Milazzo struck out, did he not?

ETA: he was 2-4 and he definitely struck out.

I agree. They need to try something different.

I don't like Crews batting lead off, not because he can't do it, on paper he's a fantastic lead off hitter, but I would rather him in the three hole.

I can't say the same thing about Tommy, I despise him in the two hole. I feel like the only reason he's there is because Jay feels he needs to be behind Crews.

I would go back to what OP said, but I wouldn't even mind if they sort of flipped the first three and put Morgan at lead off, Crews, then White.

Pearson at the bottom works great because of his speed and hitting. Bit of a slump but he will break out when we need him most.

Yes. Milazzo has 1XB hit all year. Pearson has 10 and his ops, slg, and ob% is significantly higher.

And as far as the the ballpark being big is the reason to sit Trav is just dumb. Trav is a good hitter period who can still put the ball in the gap if it doesn’t leave the yard. The best that milazzo can do is probably a single and his stats back that up (1 XB hit all year).

Travenski’s strength is nullified by the park and wind. And he’s in a slump

Milazzo’s strength (defense) is enhanced by the park as people are trying to manufacture runs through forcing errors and strategies like stealing etc. and he’s actually hitting the ball.

I don’t see how this is a discussion.

Milazzo has been fantastic. I don’t think you need the qualifier to give him a spot in the lineup. Hes taken a lot of shite on here but he’s earned it not only defensively, but offensively in the biggest game of the season.

Also, i don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the pitching and defense in this tournament have produced low scoring, 1 run games. WF has one home run. We don’t need to match brawn with brawn here. We need to win with pitching, defense and quality at bats.
