Travinski or Milazzo

Last night I thought Travinski should have pinched hit late in the game. Milazzo is better defensively but cannot hit as well. Who should start tonight? I would play Travinski tonight.

I’d say Trav for the bat, but I don’t worry about passed balls with milazzo behind the plate. He’s just a black hole in the lineup

Heavy wind blowing in tonight takes away all of Travinski's strengths. Plus he's an average catcher

I think you need Milazzo on defense. Also Trav's bat has been a little cold in Omaha

with Thompson being an automatic out at this point, I feel like you need Travinski to have an extra bat
ETA: Milazzo is an exponentially better catcher

Wind blowing in again. Then it's Milazzo.

His run production outweighs the dropoff in defense. He's certainly no Milazzo behind the plate, but Travinki is better defensively than many here give him credit.

If the wind is not blowing hard in, I say Travinski because of his power. If wind is blowing in, Milazzo because he is a better bunter and frames pitches better.

Milazzo has actually batted well all season. It didn’t show last night facing a great pitching staff, but his soft liners to the outfield are perfect when the wind is blowing in like it was.

You people do realize that the wind blowing in doesn't mean you have bunt everyone, right? Travinski gets on base and scores runs.

He has not produced a run since June 5th. But has helped give up 1 run defensively by way of passed ball

The bases were loaded in the 8th with Milazzo up and Jay stuck with him over Travinski pinch hit that’s all you need to know on how Jays decision for today

Jay said Big T was knicked up.

Milazzo can steal a few strikes. With the wind, I say Milazzo might be the better option

I think a days rest might do him some good. Seems to be wearing down

Travinski and its not even close.

Jay confirmed in pregame that Travinsky would not play yesterday due to being nicked up. Him PH was not an option yesterday. I would guess todays decision would still depend on his health.

Can Travinski play SS?

All? A 470 foot homer becomes a 430 foot homer. Travinksi hasn't been bad enough behind the plate to justify sitting him for a singles at best hitter

You were up at that point. Defense was more important than offense.
