What is LSU gonna learn by wearing themselves out for 4 or 5 games this weekend.

The regionals rotation of Hurd, Skenes, and Floyd pitched fine. Even the bullpen had some bright spots.

People hate losing but people over value the SEC tournament. LSU figured out some pitching staff issues this week and will be fine next weekend.

Totally. I’m only upset there’s no baseball to watch this weekend.

Thank you. We were lookin at a 3 seed if we win it and no worse than 5 otherwise

It doesn’t matter.

Well we also learned our situational and clutch hitting is lacking at this time in the season. We also hopefully learned not to squeeze bunt it back to the pitcher and not to squeeze a guy that has had two ACL surgeries and is very slow.

I agree with you.

But I would have to suspend reality to say this team looks like it has the makeup to run the postseason gauntlet necessary to win a championship

Arkansas is a better team and most definitely has a coach that knows his pieces and how to use them

It was not a coincidence they beat Skenes twice. I’m still gonna pull for the team, but not optimistic. It’s still baseball. They could come together.

What about the other 2 games they lost to us? If they're so much better than us that they can beat Skenes anytime why couldn't they beat our other pitchers?

This team is not flawless. No team is. But despite all the melting, they have done enough this year to do something only 8 teams in the nation earn. That's no small feat. No team is guaranteed anything but if we get the 4 seed and Arkansas is the 2 or 3, then the only way we can meet is in the CWS championship series since we'll be on opposite sides of the bracket. We've already won a series against them when they have beaten Skenes because it took them pitching their top 2 guys in the same game against him to do so. Both times I might add. If they do that again I'm really not so sure they beat us 2/3 that way, and if they don't take that approach then will they still beat Skenes?

Again this team has flaws. It can bite them in the postseason because it's baseball. But idk, people act like there are other teams out there that are flawless that LSU won't be able to beat because LSU has flaws, and I just don't understand that. There isn't some MLB team in the field that we'll run up against that hasn't shown any weaknesses this year.

Let me ask this… If we started Floyd yesterday and back him with Skenes would you think the same?

I agree with you.

The only thing really bugging me deep down is the apparent lack of confidence overall. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I think it’s the disappearance of the Dugas fire since his injury.

This post makes me feel better. I think recently it’s been a combination of fatigue and maybe a lack of confidence. All we can do at this point is heal up and get mentally prepared. I think some time off will do Dugas and Crews a lot of good.
