Much credit to the state softball teams who are competing at the same level as LSU on much less money. Someone at LSU needs to look into this and either decide to pay more for a superior team than the State schools or reduce pay and continue the course. A cost analysis of sorts demands this.

ULL has been a solid softball program for 30 years now. They aren’t just keeping up with LSU they are keeping up with a lot of power 5 programs.

Not sure anyone at LSU cares that much about softball to be honest but yea what Mcneese has done the last few years is impressive and usl always seems to have a solid team, of course to be fair, softball is their pride and joy

Little league/travel Softball and baseball in the Lake Charles to Houston corridor is huge. It’s not a surprise there are some really talented under the radar athletes McNeese can find.

Yea I’m super impressed with the job that mcneese coach has done. I know they probably should have won last night but man to even have them in that position is really a good job by him

Not sure if you know how contracts work but you can’t just cut her pay.

UL is committed to softball as it doesn't take the $$ resources to compete at the highest college level. Deal with it!

he is a damn good coach and doesnt put up with shite. he lost prolly his best player to the portal too because he refused to put up with shite from her. she is goign to OK State.

So that's what it's come to at LSU? We want a bargain on a coach who only brings us mediocrity?
I say no...we want championships! And in order to get there with the softball program, we need to clean house and get fresh blood just as many of our opponents have done.

Exactly. Usl hangs their hat on softball and have been good at it for 30 years to their credit. This is undoubtedly the highlight of their year. I say let them it enjoy it, me

ULL has always been the flagship softball team in the state. yvette left and went to lsu and brought them up to the same level.
