This is not Ed O speaking. Coach Kelly tells it like it is. LSU is going to need both QB's, it's hard to start every game as a running QB without having an injury in the brutal SEC. Kelly and LSU are blessed to have two great ones.

Kelly really has to give Nuss time this season. I mean real first team reps, for the long term health of the program. Like Coach said, we have two GREAT QBs. You don't just sit a GREAT QB.

He does need to get reps in those early non-conf games and in any league blowouts. I also believe CBK will not hesitate to bring him in if QB1 struggles on multiple series. Give the opposition another look and generate some OFF & momentum. Either way the QB position looks strong for at least the next two seasons & with with a high-end QB (and the surrounding talent) you can legitimately compete for the CFP.

We have zero great QBs. Daniels showed signs of making the leap last season, but he did not make it. Maybe he will this season, and maybe not. Nuss? Give me a break! There is potential there, but that's a far cry from "great".
This hyperbole reminds me of another QB named Daniels - Chase Daniels. The Picayune ran an article on Chase when he was backing up Brees. It emphasized how competitive they were in wind sprints, passing drills, and how they were always neck and neck. A co-worker said, "It's good to know that if something happens to Brees we won't miss a beat."

I'll bet you a weeks salary, all three fiddy, that Nuss never transfers from LSU. If he were gonna transfer he would have done so already. He knows that this is JD's last year and the team is his for two more years. No need to transfer.

Exactly. And if he were transferring this late, to be guaranteed a starting position this year (which would be the only reason to transfer), he would likely have to go to a program on the level of Kansas, Vandy or at best a Louisville.
