LSU and Tulane..

I'm a LSU fan and bleed purple and gold since 1972. I cannot remember when LSU and Tulane we're conference champions the same year. Tulane was 2-10 last year. LSU 6-7, great stories and year for both universities. Congratulations to both teams. Now let's beat the Tfaggies... GEAUX TIGERS!!

If you followed LSU football prior to the 90's, you'd understand. It was a legit HEATED rivalry. Players, coaches, and fans HATED each other. Tulane had a large fanbase back in those days, which seemed to fizzle out in the 90's. My pops told me all sorts of stories how he and his crew would regularly get into fights at the LSU/Tulane games in the 70's. From the LSU/Tulane wheel barrel parades the Sunday after the games, to the Tiger Rag. It was pretty legit. I was born in the mid 70's and LOVED LSU/Tulane week as a kid.

My dad is a lifelong, die hard LSU fan but graduated from Tulane while the rivalry was still heated. He still pulls for his alma mater but really only cares ab the Tigers.
His dorm was directly across from the old Sugar Bowl. He has some cool stories about walking to Saints games and a Super Bowl.
