2022 Florida Gator Defense vs LSU Breakdown

It’s from a Florida perspective but I found this super enlightening on the concepts we’re running and how we attacked their defense.

Trust me, it’s well worth a watch if you have time

Essentially from this Denbrock called a hell of a game. Daniels execute the plays, but he missed several easy TDs still.

I hate to sound like a bitch and rag on Daniel's after last weekend, but the breakdown did point out he had multiple options on several plays and a lot of his throws were slow/wobly.

Nothing that can't be fixed, and I'm still elated to have him.

Ithought the same. JD had his best game by far, and he read the field pretty good most of the time...an improvment. But, wow were those receivers getting open and just a little bit more anticipation and definitely more accurate throwing, LSU would have been really good offensively. I'm hoping that JD is seeing things better and even realizes how much better he could be after this performance. I think we will need it this week.

The shovel to Taylor was a designed play, like a pass-run option. 2 OL guys were beyond the line of scrimmage.

Also on a couple of throws he couldn’t properly reset his feet.

Without a doubt that was good stuff. I learned a lot from his analysis.

That was a great breakdown. Thanks!
That guy sounded miserable watching the UF defense making the same mistakes over and over.

OP -- I LOOOOVE this.

I heard a lot of "LSU got the exact coverage they wanted". How do they do that? Just guessing? Watching a lot of film of UF defense? JD doesn't audible/change play at the LOS when he sees the coverage. So how'd LSU do it?

Kinda makes you wonder, has Daniels improved that much over the previous games or was Florida that bad compared to the previous defenses?

I think Daniels turned a corner and made some quick decisions, even threw a pass in the direction of the blitz (which was eye opening). But the missed opportunities can hopefully be cleaned up during film study.

This film study makes me feel like we should've hung 60 on UF. Awesome seeing the Xs and Os play out. Actually made me feel better about our coordinator more than anything.
