LSU to wear purple jerseys this weekend against New Mexico

If it weren't for tradition the uniforms are ranked below IMHO:
1) Gold helmet, purple jersey, gold pants
2) White helmet, purple jersey, white pants
3) Gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants (standard uniform).
Honorable mention:
The purple chrome helmet Nike outfits, I don't remember what year...

Every recruit seems to take a picture in the white helmet/purple jersey combo and white helmet/white jersey combo. Obviously they like the white helmets, so I’m expecting those with the purple jersey and white pants

Hopefully it's the white/purple/white. That's the best LSU uni other than the traditional gold/white/gold.
The gold/purple/gold is monstrous, in ways other than its garish appearance. LSU rarely plays well in that combo, and has suffered several embarrassing upsets wearing it.

That shite is in the past. The stigma with those started to die in 95 when the NCAA started letting us wear white jerseys at home again. It’s just another jersey now.
