Tyrann Mathieu is the greatest ambassador to New Orleans

And, fans on here ragged him. And for what? Something that's now legal to use in well over a dozen states.
"Don't break the rules" groups are full of shite. How do I know that? Most of that type are also (still) Les Miles fans.

People ragged him for getting kicked off the team. That said most people wanted him to do well and succeed. Actions speak louder than words and you could tell he regretted his decision right after getting kicked off the team. Continuing to go to every game, etc.

It happened to Ricky Williams by Longhorn fans and then by Saints fans.

I just text him and he said you’re a bitch

People ragged on him because he was irresponsible enough to get kicked off the team. He made dumb decisions. He has admitted that himself. I would guess 99.9% if not 100% of this board loves him and fully supports him.

Not that high but that number has only risen because he now plays for the Saints.

If he's your best example, then God help us. I'm from NOLA, and can't understand what he says 99% of the time. He can start by speaking proper English and pronunciation. Not Latoya hood rat lingo

Then you definitely have low standards.

Come on man. The rules were different 10-15 years ago.
Just because something is legal now, doesn’t make what Tyrann was doing a decade ago, right.
Also, the guy had a ton of chances at LSU.
Even he would tell you, he screwed up. Most people have forgiven him and he’s grown as a human as a result.
It’s possible that getting booted out of LSU saved his career, because he knew he had to change habits and stop hanging out with certain people to ensure he reached his potential in the NFL.
Who is to say, Tyrann would’ve had a successful nfl career at all, if LSU had continued to enable him to break the rules they set for every other player, not just Tyrann?

The guy was smoking weed, that’s it. He wasn’t a menace to society out here. It’s laughable how people speak on the guy like he’s Larry Foster or Cecil Collins.

A young black man that messed up for the world to see but owned up to his mistakes and turned his life around? If half the young people in NO had the character and attitude he has then we wouldn’t see the daily threads on why NO sucks.

Give it a rest with the race card Jesus
Maybe people were just pissed to see him screw it all up because he couldn’t stop smoking. He failed like 30 something drug tests

I would say they gave him a lot of chances.
And he wouldn’t be the ambassador he is today if he didn’t learn that hard lesson.
