Did anyone think Max was the future at LSU?

Like, starting for the next 2-3 years?

I didn't.

If we know it, Max knows it.

I don't think he's a top-half of the SEC QB. Sure, you can win games with him. But he can't win you games.

So we roll with an average QB for a tight end?

That's moronic.

And then when Max eventually gets beat out and benched, and then transfers, what does the brother do?

Do Bama fans ask this question about their starting QB?

It’s amazing how clearly people saw the fact that you cannot win it all without a really good QB after Burrow lit the world on fire, but now they’re melting over Max Johnson leaving. We need to step it up in the QB room, and it felt good to be on the way until frickup Orgeron completely mailed it in. He was always supposed to be a depth guy and possibly a junior starter if he made huge gains, and I think everyone expected a sophomore Nuss or a 5* younger guy to start over him next year anyway.

What the frick does that have to do with anything?

Who was the last average QB they started?

He wasn't the present, let alone the future!

Prediction: Max will transfer to somewhere above his talent, due to his name and his brother.

He will never play there either, and will transfer again.

If he were smart, he would go somewhere in the G5 where he can actually play.

That's the only reason I'm mad

I'd let nuss and walker battle it out. Let walker take his lumps as a freshman.

I bet kelly brings someone in.

Future? Maybe not. But he is the best QB on the roster right now. His development and work would have determined his future.

Absolutely, my gut told me to post that he’s not going to end up anywhere notable in another thread because he’s so bad, but I didn’t post it because he probably will end up at an Ole Miss or something for reasons other than his quarterbacking

He's not a top half QB of any conference
