After the shakeups the Horns should have about a 85% chance each year of making the NC game. With Nebraska losing the Horns now play no real road game because the Oaklahoma game is on neutral field (basicaly another UT home game). They hardly ever play a tough non conference game so if they can beat OU they are almost a lock to be undefeated and most likely playing for the NC each year.

Even if they lose to OU and win out, they most likely will be in the title game.

no they aren't, their strength of schedule goes down with 1 less game. They will get in as often as USC has been recently. What 2 times a decade?

This is why the BCS should be eliminated and let the teams prove their worth on the field in head to head matchups instead of having some damn formula predict who's #1 and #2 in the country.

The way the BCS is set up is the most retard shite I have ever heard of competition wise. But monitarily it's pure genius

UT will be a great team due to recruting..

But I don't know about the automatic bid to MNC.

I would have loved to see Colt play against Bama..that was a shame!

Negatory - Playing a weak conference makes you weak and you lose focus - see USC

No UT will have to schedule more tough out of conference games. Mac Brown said it in an interview earlier this week.

The AP poll is the key. We know their conference and opponents strength will be their achilles in the BCS... if they get enough love in the AP it could overcome the weak sched, or it could result in more split NCs, ala 2003 LSU/USC.

more like a 50/50 chance. (either they will be in the game or they won't)

No, no neaux, for the love of all that is righteous and holy NO.

Why do you people keep saying this? The Big 12 is not really any different than it was the last few years, USC has been in a weaker conference and managed only 2 BCS title games. Every year there is some team that starts off ranked high with a weak schedule and rarely do they make it to the title game, for crying out load, people on this board had WVU penciled in for years and they never made it.

they played at Nebraska once every 4 years and lets not forget the fact that Nebraska was not that good for a while.

You guys are putting much more emphasis on Nebraska than they deserve.

During the existence of the Big 12, TX has played Neb 9 times and has won 8. Texas Tech is a much more difficult team to play than Nebraska.

Yeah, Nebraska just got good again and they leave the conference. There's no effect there whatsoever. Yeesh.

See H-Town's post for my opinion.

Bobby Boucher, didn't momma tell you the AP poll is no longer part of the BCS formula?

You listen to your momma, the AP is the devil.

One thing that is over looked. The big XII lost a lot of media votes in Colorado. Some in Nebraska.

With pac X, Bix X, A.c.c., and s.e.c. having championship games, the west coast vote will go to pack 10, mid west to big X, east coast to a.c.c., south to s.e.c..

Ut or Ou will have to depend on three states to out vote these regions. (texas, kansas, and oklahoma.) only one has any population, texas.

More likely than not, the region w/o a player for the n.c. game will go with the conference that does have a player which plays in a conference with a championship game like their conference/region does. they will respect that player more.

Ut and Ou is on an island by themselves now. yes they will survive but no one will pay attention to them.

One other thing about this, why is OU going to start to suck? They've been to 4 BCS CG since 2000, Texas to 2.

Right. That's why Texas needed the refs to screw Nebraska so they could play for the BCS last year.

Game was over. Mac Brown got a pass. Texas didn't deserve to play for the ring, and lost.

Talk about easy schedules. Texas has a clear path if they beat Oklahoma. Way too easy for the winner of the Red River Shootout.

If Baylor upsets either UT or OU this year after being the odd man out, I will laugh so hard. Then I will drink for about a week in celebration.
