Midnight Yell Practice

This is the best example I could find. It is a series of clips from Midnight Yell Practice before the tu game in '09. It should give you some idea of what I'm talking about.

Aggy bitches aren't as friggin' smart as you say they are if they can't wrap their pretty thighs and head around those stupid chants

Hell, who can't lead the very first one!

"Ayyyyyyy, Gig Em, Aggies" Whoop!!(tidoo)

I have to admit though, the rolling around on the turf looks pretty tough. Male only type of shenanigans.

I'm sure it's traditionally sacred water and cannot be soiled by a woman.

Ok, the yell leader vs. Cheer leader part I'll give you. But until you vote in some hot female yell leaders, you still gonna be made fun of.

Don't get me wrong those cheers are weird as hell, but I could see how they could be confusing and if that's your thing fine. But you could have girls do it.

First "aggy" really? you can do better.

Second. Your right, we have no idea. Of course I am sure that Texas has no idea what they are going to do with "Texas fight" either.

Yell Leaders
I am going to keep repeating this until you guys just accept it and quit trying to make it sound less gay than it is.

They are males and these "yells" are cheers. So, these males lead your student body in cheers.

They are male cheerleaders.

I refuse to call them yell leaders.

In all honesty, we've kept all the traditions that no one else understands for how long now? What makes you think we're about to change this one?

Plus, we hate Texas (University of) enough as it is...now that they're refusing to play us (scheduling is "problematic") we'll probably hate them more until they end up playing us; at which point we'll hate them for coming to College Station.

We're tough to understand, us Aggies. But I assure you, if your team is playing in College Station and you are wearing that team's colors, we WILL offer you beer and conversation before the game. And should you win the game, you're invited to Northgate so long as you don't make an @ss (can you say @ss here?) of yourself.

If I may ask, other than your school's fight song, when do you do what the cheerleader's say?

When they hold up a sign that says "Go" and another sign that says "(Mascot)," do you honestly yell/scream/cheer "Go" and then "(Mascot)?"

The beauty of yell leaders (I'm not gay), is that 5 dudes in white janitorial outfits can direct 85,000 people better than all these hot chicks everyone keeps bragging about.

Plus, more beauty about yell leaders: if there aren't any cheerleaders, it means the hot chicks are in the stands with us...when we're not screwing sheep, we tend to stick to women.

That's like the third time I've seen an aggie use the hot chicks in the stands excuse. This is the sec. We have a shite ton of hot chicks in the stands. Do Yall not have 12 hot ones to spare?

Never, because we don't need people to lead us in cheers. We are smart enough to do it on our own.

FIFY

We don't need to be lead. We have the band and we know what we have to do for each play and cheer. We don't need directing. We LSU fans are smarter than that (crazy isn't it).

There you go talking about the beauty of your male cheerleaders again. Seriously, someone remind me why we let them into the SEC.

Well, from the way it sounds, your fan base is enamored by these male cheerleaders so I would go so far as to say that the second half of what you posted there isn't true.

All that this male cheerleader stuff actually says is that your entire school is technically in the closet.

Because 12 university presidents voted yes?

Are you asking me a question?

And to be more specific, the vote choices were "yay" or "nay" not "yes" and "no." We are more sophisticated than that here in the SEC.

If you need cheerleaders THAT badly, Scruffy, go to Reed Arena and catch a basketball game

Personally, I'd have no problem with having female yell leaders at all, so long as the yells themselves and the tradition didn't change.
