Man, I'm gonna be so disappointed if this move doesn't happen...and I'll feel a little sad for Texas A&M...the appearance is going to be akin to a battered wife going back to her husband and moving out of town...you just KNOW she's going to be in for an ever rougher ride than she's had.

Great analogy...this is such interesting stuff!

Great analogy and I feel the same way. aTm is the only team I really have an opinion on as far as adding them to the league. The other additions don't really inspire me one way or the other.

SEC might get A & M and, possibly, Clemson, Florida State, Va Tech or Miami. Interesting.
I would definitely like to have A & M and Florida State in the conference.

a&m and VT are the only schools that have been mentioned with a little credibility.

Add Mizzou and Texas A&M to the West. N.C. State and Virginia Tech to the East. HELLOOOOO television revenues.

I really want the Aggies and JUST the Aggies, but we're probably going to need someone to add to the East... I just don't know who I'd invite

The history between LSU and the Aggies goes back over a hundred years. LSU used to be Louisiana A & M by the way.

PS Thanks for the arse whipping in 1899.

I play on a VT board some. FWIW they say the fans are split about 50/50 on moving to the SEC if offered, but it rises to about 90/10 if we invited a second ACC team.

I attended LSU in the early 70's and fondly remember the games with A&M. The Aggies never failed to put on a show when they came to town and I would love to see the rivalry renewed.

Any A&M fans visiting this board should ignore most of the comments by the Gumps. If your school joins the SEC, they will actually make you feel right at home in that they are much like their UT counterparts - always full of hot air and whine like little bitches when they lose.

Love the Aggie games too. Most memorable in the early 80's as your band marched out of Tiger Stadium, LSU fans would stand on the ramps and clap as they went by. Pretty impressive. I hope you guys come - leave the Horns to their own.

I think the rest of the conference wishes Fran was still at Bama moreso than Bama fans.

I will guarantee you A&M wishes Fran was still at Bama more than Bama fans do.
