How does a 3 division conference determine a champion? Big Ten style?

I meant to explain that. Like MLB...

An extra game would be needed...take the 3 div winners and then the next best team (the WC). Play it out. Yeah, it's silly, but tv would love it...I think.

It at least deserves some credit for an insightful post, though not going to happen as you say. Cheers for the hard work of putting that together

I could do away with Southern Miss and replace them with someone else but I agree that would be a tough division for sure.

When I do have free time, I enjoy pondering on sports. This is about as accurate as pat Shingleton after 3 Scotches before 5:15 pm, but just wanted to try to see what this would look like. It took about an hour and a half maybe.

Also, what do y'all think will happen to the BIG XII? Over unless Texas stays put?

Just abolish all conferences and let ESPN divide everyone up. If tv contracts are controlling this, let's just go to the source.

I am wondering if this whole thing doesnt get so FUBARed that the NCAA wont have to step in and sort things out.

Damn dude... You put a shitload of thought into that. Though it isn't going to happen, good work!

Although I do agree with not taking LSU out of the "Old SEC" and Flyin' and Tittle's comments made me

Wel, Y.A....that's the whole idea. This is basically a parody or a parody. All I am doing is inaccurately, but at the same time quite accuately, predicting what the NCAA will do. If OU and A&M and God knows who else join he SEC, then it's not the SEC.

As for the weak SEC Central...remember, things go in cycles and in this new super conference, no team is safe. There are other divisions that look weak as well, but that's just the way it worked out.

Again, this is ust me beng bored and looking at what the NCAA ultimately wants to have happen...or what ultra competitive and insecure conference offcials want.

I don't know that the NCAA knows what it wants or not, other than that it probably just wants something different.

Agreed. The Central Division is an absolute cakewalk compared to the others

I think the weakest divisions I created were the Central in Pac 10 and in SEC...agreed. Geographically, that was the best way possible...Bama and Auburn would certainly own that division, but think if Memphis were in the SEC...better recruits and likely a new stadium.

Of course, Boise joining the MWC throws a wrench into my plan. Yes, the MWC is much better than the WAC, but both will be - in the future - looking to be disbanded for more super conferences.

Again, though, this is all big time stretch of the imagination.
