The overwhelming majority of Texas Aggies view LSU as a rival (particularly those who were in school in the early 1990s and prior), not Arkansas.

Arkansas could care less if you view us, LSU, Texas or Wyoming as a rival.
We have enjoyed dominating you, across the board, in all sports, for 107 years.
You have been easy to make fun of, and even easier to beat. What we refer to each other as is really just semantics. I refer to A&M as our bitch. You can choose your own term in return.
Arkansas likes playing you because it gives us a "W" that we don't have to work too hard for and most importantly, exposure in Texas. Honestly, you've been too much of a doormat to have earned the tagline "Rival".

That's the most important factor. aTm will have to become competitive before they become a rival. I would not be surprised if it takes them 10 years to become competitive.

Yeah, LSU didn't get started on that aggie arse all the way until 1906.
I know 48 games, including a couple of 10-15 consecutive stretches, with a .573 win% isn't quite as good as 65 games 62.3 win% that Arkansas has vs aTm, but it does give us some idea.
Come to think of it, Arky's record vs aTm looks a lot like LSU's record vs Arky...

Let's not forget, that for the most part, the former SWC was the whipping post for LSU for many years. Enough for LSU at times to dubbed the unofficial SWC champion each year.
