I came across UTEP at Tulane flipping through the channels last Saturday. There couldn't have been 5,000 people in that building.

Last time UT played tulane in the dome it was pretty much a UT home game.

This is the Whorns 2012 schedule substituting TCU for A&M and Louisville for Missouri. If they ever want to bring that conference back to 12 teams, they would do well to find stiffer competition than Tulane.

Per Kaare Johnson this afternoon; Tulane has a shot of being a member of the Big 12/10/8/7.
Why would Texas want a school that cannot get a 1,000 people to come see a game? Per Kaare, it's because they have a $9 million athletic budget.

The city Tulane plays in adds to Tulane's "image" for the Big 12. Tournaments/championships in nola, plus it would maybe open a door to recruiting.
Wouldn't think of Tulane as team 10 but could see them as #12. AUA or whatever member, they hire a "name" coach, could happen...
IMO it's not as far fetched as some think but lots would need to happen before that, turned down by a couple schools would be a start
