I went over to their main board and asked them a simple question of which conference theyd rather join. I'm not surprised with the result, but am by the overwhelming majority of them wanting to go to the SEC. I'd say its about 95 percent SEC from what Ive seen so far. The A&M administration should at least take notice of what the fan base wants before making the decision IMO.

you have to take into consideration most of the people you are talking to are a younger generation. I know the older generation here wants to stick with Texas wherever they go.

No matter what happens, officials from both schools have said that they would continue to play each other every year. That would rake in a bunch of TV money for both conferences should UT go PAC ____ and A&M go SEC.

Just seems to me with the way TX is treating A&M like shite these last few day 100% A&M fans would be telling TX to F off.
If Bama told LSU to join the ACC with them or Bama would never play us again what would LSU fans think. I would say a resounding F Bama.

The 95% doesn't actually surprise me. That was the vibe I got from basically everyone I know associated with A&M....and I know a lot of them since I went to grad school there. If UT wasn't even in the equation they'd still be all about the SEC.

Everyone has an identity in the SEC. They all have a voice. In the big 12 Texas talked for most of the big 12 south maybe excluding OU.

Maybe you should replace LSU with Auburn in that scenario. Bama isn't our big brother, so telling them to frick off is easy. They're more like a retarded cousin to us.

Maybe you shouldn't. If Bama tried to tell AU what to do, AU would not be able to stop laughing long enough to even get a word out. AU is better than bama and we know it and always have. Better educated, make more money, more respected, and better in sports 2 of the last 3 decades (ie longer than most students of either school have been alive).
Hell, most AU fans are so embarrassed people even associate us with gumps, we like to be considered to be in West Georgia so we do not get associated with the inbred gumps.
