Herman isn’t even on the radar for any openings. His agent should at least float his name as a rumor from time to time.

No one knows what happened here. Some of the pay site Sunshine Pumpers will tell you he wasn't in consideration. Others who purport to know him say that he declined interviews, and didn't want the job.
SC is a hard AF job.

He would have been more successful here. I have no doubt about that. Good for us he was playing leverage games.

Not saying he should get a bama like gig but he should get somewhere on the level of Arkansas ole miss etc. mid tier P 5 gig

I agree. I think most floated names serve for negotiating with your current job as much as the actual new spot.
Herman doesn't need that atm.

Several rumors out there that he has already pretty much locked down the Colorado job. Explains both the lack of rumors for him and about the Colorado job.

That will make it harder due to not being well known. If at a top program, then he probably aces it due to have resources to succeed. Is he a good recruiter. That is a must for any power of 5 job. Harsin wasn't able to do that because he wasn't good recruiter and not familiar in the SEC footprint.

That may be about to change. He's one of the top candidates for the Tech job and rumored to have expressed interest. We'll see. On the surface he appears to be a great fit.
