For a majority of us, I think, it wasn't a case of wanting O over Jimbo. Jimbo was my guy. I'm just not losing my shite over the hire, spewing the "he talks like us" BS line over and over again.

First of all "Yahoo" didn't write this opinion piece.
Pat Forde did. Pat has been around awhile. He spent several years at ESPN covering college football and moved to Yahoo Sports.
This piece represents Pat's opinion. I have read his stuff in the past and found him to be a straight shooter. His column at ESPN was Forte Yard Dash, I used to read that often.
Whether you are a pro-O guy, anti-O guy or a wait and see on O guy, the truth is more national college football opinion writers (even those that like Coach O and are pulling for him) question this hire than praise it.
In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter all that much what Pat Forde thinks or any college football writer thinks but I would hope we would all agree it would be better for the program if LSU got praise (like I think we will if we hire Canada) than pieces like this.
