You say that as if Coach Prime has been unethical or immoral.

He's discussing taking a job at a high-level university. There should be some level of professionalism. He sounds like a complete idiot bragging about offers.

Can you name anything that would cause you to refer to Sanders as "this human being"???

The fact that he is a human being. What are you suggesting?

The offer from Colorado has been reported for several days now. Who cares if he confirmed what most people already knew? At least he's being honest.

If he had given a basic, evasive, coach-speak, non-answer answer, someone would be bitching about that, too.

This MFer thinks he created the word "braggadocious."

And people in this thread are like "I don't see the problem. This is perfectly fine."

At minimum, if he can't win games, he will probably be able to bring in talent. With a decent next hire you could win some games and build momentum.

You would have to expect things like that from Deion.

It's not important to me at all. But their last two coaches have been black and they've apparently offered to job to Deion.

I think Walters is a great candidate. He will be a head coach somewhere, maybe this year.

I am getting the impression that is exactly what the OP cares about. He can't really say what Deion has done that would make him an unserious coach. He has a great reputation as a top level player and so far his coaching has exceeded all expectations. I don't remember any real issues with him.

I'm literally advocating for a black coach to get the job IN THIS VERY THREAD.

You think the quote in the OP is from a serious person?

It's the height of racism to excuse clown behavior due to race, when you would not condone it otherwise.

So is it your position that Deion Sanders is beyond criticism? And that any criticism is racial by default?

There are dozens of black coaches that are vastly more qualified for FBS head coaching positions.

It will be interesting to see if he can recruit in the big time college arena. It's easy to recruit against SWAC level coaches when all you have to do is show a little interest in a kid that, realistically, has few other option and say "Come play for Prime!".
I'd like to see how he reacts to recruits that have a myriad of options and lots of really great recruiters also vying for them.

I can't wait until one of these idiotic schools hires him and he ends up an
unmitigated disaster. It's a testament to the strength of his personality that he's actually got people convinced he's a real football coach

It's the media circus I'd be worried about. All the starfricker reality show crap that everybody's going to throw at you. Are you going to throw away your integrity as an academic institution for a "Primetime U" television series or whatever they're going to throw at them?

Bro you're really late to the party. On the Power 5 level if your football program isn't a distinct entity separate from the university whose mission is to win games and make millions you're a loser football program. Major football programs aren't concerned with academics.

This is so true. And, a lot of black coaches aren't fans of Deion because Deion didn't earn his current job let alone a Power 5 job offer.

Would be a great hire for Colorado. Recruiting is the most important part about cfb and he does that very well. Programs throw money at unqualified coaches all the time. What do you have to lose? I don’t think his character or that fact that he’s a human being will come into play.
