There would be fewer rumors if there wasn't absolute jealousy and butthurt from either a)the schools that wish they had him b) the jilted bride syndrome from those he left and get constantly reminded because he whips their arse more times than not or c) those that know their school is never going to make it to the big time because the title runs through Tuscaloosa

You just signed up on TD and have spent a good portion of your time on this board. Looks like you're the one butthurt.

Most of these rumors about Terri looking for real estate or Nick being in huge debt are probably the work of Sexton.

The Sabans' interest in the bankrupt property is not rumor.

LSU and current Alabama football coach Nick Saban, whose name has surfaced in the Perkins Rowe suit and who also is a 49.5% owner of a Houston apartment complex for which another of Spinosa’s companies has filed for bankruptcy protection.

But there's no doubt Sexton obo Saban is pushing for lots more money.

True. I first heard of it this morning reading a post from your counterpart on a Bama message board which bans LSU posts.

He's the guy who first tweeted then wrote the story that Saban and Bama reached an agreement on a new contract. Then last night he retracted it and mentioned Saban's debt and him not appreciating "a few million more". He's not giving specifics but he's implying Saban was offered what he was asking and hasn't accepted.

Sexton has been talking with Texas for approximately 2 years - the number is $100 million - it has to be, some kind of way, with incentives, bonuses, interest in the Longhorn Network, whatever - the headline HAS to read:

"Saban agrees to coach Longhorns - details to follow, but 11 years, $102 million, with incentives, $85 million of which is guaranteed" - or something like that.

Because Mack has shown resistance to leaving, it has not happened, yet. And, due to Saban's age, the window may be closing. In any event, now that the Texas situation is likely moving forward, Sexton will, at a minimum, get close to 90% of that contract value from Bama - if they're willing to negotiate on that basis. Saban and Sexton have already won - the only question remaing is "By how much?"

I agree. We know how Saban likes to feel "appreciated". That was his excuse for leaving Mich State. Now it's Bama. "You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great, people get spoiled by success and there gets to be a lack of appreciation," Terry Saban told the WSJ. I can see Saban saying Bama has to pay Texas size coins to show they appreciate him. If not...
