Because he stopped running the offense that got him the job. His offense is the reason he got fired.

Well that and the fact he never beat LSU, UGA, or Bama on the road. Not a single time.

UCF actually has won conference titles in this millenia as well as a more recent mythical National Championship. I would say UCF is on a higher tier.
