Ib4 “he KiLlED a KiD”

His offense has performed well, he recruits well to a school that is hard to recruit, and has managed to have ND relevant longer than any coach since 1988. I know they fall short in the playoffs, but talent, budget, and facilities at ND are far behind the sec schools/clemson he always loses to.

Plus he seems to have a good eye for hiring talented assistants. ND just let’s them walk (see Mike Elko)

I don’t like him personally, but he would be a home run hire.

Kelly is in the group of coaches right after Saban and Dabo…in other words a great coach

No he didn’t.

And based on his resume he is a HR hire while you tards are talking about a 10-9 coach in aranda.

Putting my personal dislike for the guy aside, I think he’d be a solid hire. Like you said, there’s a lot to like on his résumé. Bringing my own personal feelings back into it, I’d rather we didn’t. Don’t like the guy at all, think he’s underachieved. But, I’m flawed; what can I say?

I'm not a fan of him, but I think he would win championships here in a hurry. Would be a HR hire!

He bears plenty of responsibility for what happened there. It was his decision to have the practice outdoors in 50 MPH wind gusts and allowing anyone into a lift in that is just fricking dumb. Add in the fact that he had to vacate wins for two seasons over academic misconduct and you have some pretty controversial shite. He was on the verge of being fired and probably should of been if we're being honest. No thanks. Is he a decent coach? Sure, but he's not worth all the other shite that comes with him.

Hell of a lot better than most of the names being thrown around. Guy is a Tier 1 coach. Why he is not in the conversation with his $3 million salary is beyond me. In the meantime, we are throwing out record breaking salary numbers millions higher than Saban is being paid.

Dude is like O and forever against top 5 opponents at ND and like 3-8 vs top 10 teams. Tell us you dont ever want to win big games without telling us you dont want to ever win big games. People should be banned just for mentioning his name as they lose all credibility and should have their College football Card revoked. Do y'all even football?

My personal pick for our next coach.

The guy can coach. Great leader.

Yes, I think he would. And I think he's taken ND as far as it can go as long as they're unwilling to actually join a conference.

I have to think he is an intelligent enough man to see the ceiling Notre Dame has.

I wonder if he's the Jay Johnson of this search.

10-9 in a pandemic screwed up year and one real season without much of a chance yet to change the talent level. Aranda would build his program at LSU for the long haul and the fact that he would be the first coach at LSU who is not a clown since the hiring of Les Miles, it would be a great hire and other coaches across the country would know it.

Yes. I don’t want him over Aranda or Riley, but he would be an incredible hire in my
Opinion.

The first two even more so.

Coach just turned 60 years old.

Born: October 25, 1961 (age 60)

Saban just turned 70.

I wouldn’t think he would leave ND. I agree that they will let them walk because they’re so arrogant, they think anyone would come and coach at Notre Dame. They can’t imagine anyone turning Notre Dame down
