with the right offensive coordinator,
and the right defensive coordinator
Sam Nader could be head coach.

Let's let him coach a couple of games. He has 8 games to show us what he can do.

You didn't pay Les all that money to retire in order to bring in O. O is what he is. Super recruiter and D line expert. You'll be kicking yourselves if you retain O and he puts up 9-3s while Jimbo and Herman excel elsewhere.

I sure hope "he's a Louisiana cajun" isn't going to be the next "he's a good man" defense for the HC.

He was so bad Ole Miss hired Houston Nutt and it was a massive improvement.

No. Success as an interim coach is almost meaningless. You think Aranda or even Ensminger as interim couldn't take this team on a run? Remember the talent on this squad?!? LSU does not fire Les frickin Miles to promote a D-line coach no one else wants as HC. And I love Coach O!! You goofs that want to hire him as HC are forcing me to be the bad guy here, but someone has to be the grownup.

Saban recommended Nutt for the LSU job when he left.

The 3-21 stat is more important if he gets the HC gig at LSU since LSU is actually in the SEC.

Try to keep up.

Right because the talent at Ole Miss that he had then is more comparible than USC to what he'll have at LSU

The 2007 Ole Miss team had a lot of NFL players on the roster.

He had three years to get his players in there. He got worse after every year.

0-8 in the SEC in his 3rd and final year at Ole Miss.

With your above post though. Lets just go with the 6-2 record. You win.

Let me just ask you this question? If it weren't CEO and some other coach or he was from LA would you want a coach who was a career 16-27 as HC?

So you dont think a HC can improve from his experiences?

What was Bill Belichicks record at Cleveland again??

Didnt Chizik get a rough welcome at Auburn for his prior coaching record? He took em to 14-0 and a NC

Anythings possible. see how he does now and go from there. The past is irrelevent

LSU didn't pay a average head coach $10 million to go away just to settle for Coach O and that is what LSU would be doing if he was hired.

Are you kidding me? Both were very successful for the schools they were at and both were known as up and coming coaches. Saban was offered job after job at Mich st.

O was a complete failure at ole miss. 3-21 in conference.

Bad idea. All the way around.

Exactly. It was time for Miles to go but you dont fire one of your winningest coaches and promote a position coach.
