With the right off.-coordinator, could Orgeron be LSU's best hire.

Not siding one way or the other in LSU's coaching replacement, I'm letting LSU's football season play out. But if coach Orgeron can find the right offense to light it up, how is the sky not the limit for this LSU team and LSU's future? Top recruiting, top defense, top offense, and a Louisiana cajun leading the way, what's not to like?

I wouldn't be made either, especially if Herman and Jimbo are off-the-table.

I say this with all seriousness...please make it stahp!

You don't fire les miles and pay him $13m buyout, then promote your dline coach.

How many teams have been inquiring about coach O for HC? This would be a disaster.

I hope we hire Orgeron and he tanks for 3 years. At least LSU knows what they are getting.

How many college teams were inquiring about Saban at Michigan State or Spurrier at Duke? All I'm asking is, keep an open fricking mind.

They never really tanked as HC like Orgeron. Orgeron was terrible at Ole Miss.

Keep and open mind but a resume is a resume. Just because the guy is from LA don't mean he will be a good coach.

Get that through your skull.

Let's see him coach a game first.

All I'm saying, let the season playout. No need for anyone to post about canning the man at the end of the season before he ever coaches a LSU game.

Are you kidding me? Both were very successful for the schools they were at and both were known as up and coming coaches. Saban was offered job after job at Mich st.

O was a complete failure at ole miss. 3-21 in conference.

Bad idea. All the way around.

He has coached before in the SEC and his teams got worse every year.

You can't hire a guy when he has 3 recruiting classes and all three of his teams each year at Ole Miss got worse.

Not LSU's best hire, it could work, if he were to hire kiffin, or someone like him.

You would be ok with firing Les Miles for Ed Orgeron?

That's like trading in your house for a cheap poncho

This shows how bad the program was under Miles. We are enamored with a man who is understandable and actually coaches.
